"Canal
Park Winter II"
This
is the second of two watercolor paintings. A
large winter storm rolls in from the east. Large rolling waves break against
the piers in Duluth, Minnesota.
Located at the most western end of the Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Seaway System, Duluthis the farthest inland seaport in the world. It is at least 2,342 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, yet it is set in the country's heartland, close to the essential resources- grain, iron ore, stone, and coal.
