"BWCA
- Moose"
Moose
are common sight in the B.W.C.A. This is a moose that came crashing through
the woods not far from our campsite. We came across it later that day as
it was feeding.

Moose is the common name given to the largest mammal in the deer family Cervidae. Moose can often be found standing chest deep in the waters of our northern United States and across Canada, feeding on aquatic vegetation. The impressive antlers of the moose, (sometimes referred to as "racks"), are what most people think of when they think about the moose.
